Hip-Hopping, Globe-Trotting, and Nursing

Seventeen-year-old Michelle is a hip-hop dancer who has dreams of seeing the world. Michelle also has a plan for making her dreams come true. She has chosen the one career that she can take anywhere in the world: NURSING.

In high school, as a health occupation’s student, Michelle was given the opportunity to work in an emergency room and ride along with paramedics. Michelle loved the fast pace and the excitement of the ER. "Walking in there, seeing the nurses take charge was something I really saw myself being a part of."

Michelle is currently a nursing student whose goal is to be a trauma nurse. But she has no plans of giving up her ambition to travel or dance, either. "As long as there’s a hospital, medical center, or school, I can work anywhere in the world as a nurse," Michelle states with confidence. "Nursing is one of the only careers where you can make your own schedule, travel, pick and choose where you want to work and live, and make a good income." In between, Michelle will be dancing.

Michelle makes combining business and pleasure look easy.
