NICOLE
If you really want it…work hard, go
for it and don’t give up!
Ever since Nicole was 11 years old, she knew she wanted
to do something good for people. So when she turned 16 she was excited
when she had the opportunity to be a candy striper. “I always felt
like I wanted to do something to help people,” explains Nicole.
Not knowing exactly which career path to take, Nicole
started out her academic career at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire
taking prerequisites for a career in medical health. She then transferred
to University of Minnesota and graduated
with a Public Health degree. “When I started looking for a job,
the job market was in real bad shape. I finally landed a job as a Health
and Wellness Coordinator at Honeywell. That’s when I saw that there
was a tremendous need for RNs.”
Now Nicole is back in school at the University of San
Diego earning her BSN. “Nursing has everything I am looking for,
I get to help people and be involved in their lives, plus I can look forward
to a high paying job!”
